Outrageous Burgers!

How MAD can burgers be? Let's find out...

1st on the list :

Voodoo Doughnut Burger

Restaurant: The Original, Portland, OR

Cost: $7.25 with fries

What's inside: It's a burger on a doughnut! Portland's own world-famous Voodoo Doughnut shop takes an important role in this wacky burger. A patty of Strawberry Mountain natural ground beef topped with Tillamook Cheddar cheese sits between a sliced and grilled glazed Voodoo doughnut. Double your pleasure.

Double Coronary Burger

Restaurant: The Vortex Bar & Grill, Atlanta, GA

Cost: $13.25 with your choice of sides and a dill pickle

What's inside: Not for the faint of stomach, this flame-broiled half-pound patty of premium ground sirloin is topped with two fried eggs, four slices of American cheese, and 5 strips of crispy bacon, with two grilled American cheese sandwiches replacing the traditional buns and a big ole side of mayo. Two lunches in one!

and...

The Frenchie

Restaurant: DBGB Kitchen & Bar, New York, NY

Cost: $17

What's inside: Every good chef knows quality ingredients give you quality results. Chef Jim Leiken blends three cuts of beef — round, chuck roll, and chuck tender — with short rib to "lubricate" the mix. The 6-ounce patty is then grilled and topped with deliciously fatty pork belly, fresh arugula, sweet tomato-onion compote, and Morbier cheese. All is cushioned by a buttery brioche bun and served with cornichons, French mustard, and crispy fries.

The above burgers are considered normal.... the party begins here....

Mallie's Record-Breaking Burger

Restaurant: Mallie's Sports Grill, Southgate, MI

Cost: $499, 72 hours advance notice

What's inside: This burger brings new meaning to the word "Whopper." At 185.6 pounds, this patty requires four grown men to hoist it into the oven, where it cooks for 14 hours. The nearly 120 pounds of ground round beef is wedged between a custom bun — the top and bottom each weighing in at 20 pounds. When done, it's stacked with 30 pounds of toppings: lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, bacon, and, of course, pickles and condiments. A burger of champions.

Imagine... u need a whole village just to finish this burger. LOL !!

Then.. ppl with weird taste can try this...

The King

Restaurant: Boston Burger Company, Boston, MA

Cost: $8.50

What's inside: Built for its namesake, Elvis, this burger tops 8 ounces of Certified Angus Beef with three slices of bacon and fried banana slices rolled in cinnamon and sugar, all sitting on a bun covered with creamy peanut butter. It's perfectly sweet and salty — and for anyone who is bananas about bananas.

Peanut butter in a burger? Like so WTF, right?

Can u guess what's MAD about the next burger, by either its look or name?

The Richard Nouveau

Restaurant: Wall Street Burger Shoppe, New York, NY

Cost: $175

What's inside: Ground round is for amateurs. This premiere patty gets its juiciness from rich foie gras simmered in truffle oil. Then 10 ounces of prime Kobe beef is seared in the same pan's fatty goodness before it's topped with Gruyère and layered with foie gras and earthy mushrooms. The whole lot is covered with shaved black truffles and served with a side of house-made golden truffle mayo and flecks of real gold leaf.

Its the PRICE !!! Check out that killer's pricing of the burger. What's running in my mind now is.... is there any burger lovers that can afford such a burger? And are those rich arse people willing to eat a burger (with such pricing). LOL !!

I think they should name the burger.... SPARTA Burger !! (this is madness)

Last but not least... for sweet-tooth, u can try this

Hot Fudge Sundae Burger

Restaurant: McGuire’s Irish Pub, Pensacola, FL

Cost: $9.99

What's inside: In a rush? This deluxe hamburger is essentially two courses in one. Three-quarters of a pound of Black Angus beef mixed with McGuire's special seasoning is topped with pure vanilla ice cream and ooey-gooey hot fudge. If you're craving something a bit more, shall we say, conventional, McGuire's also serves 25 savory combos.

Who knows what will come in future.
Let's just hope there's nothing like HUMAN-MEAT Burger *fingers crossed*

Charcoal BBQ & Grill Buffet

This is the place all of us agreed to go after looking at the Ramadhan 2009 Sungkai & Sahur List.

This place is recommeded by a friend of my cousin. According to that friend of his, this place serves nicer food than a six star hotel !!

We went there without any booking and yet we still get to be seated on the cozy and relaxing seats. (check out the complimentary drinks they provide for each and every table)

Have you noticed the RED & GREEN flags?
Let me explain what they are for...

Green flag means... "Bring me food"

Red flag means... "I surrender!!! Stop serving me food"

The side dishes & soup bar.

They serves pasta, buttered vege, buns, braised lamb, fries and 2 types of little skewers (satay) here.

Moving to the salad bar, they serves 7 types of ready mixed salad and also some other fresh ingredients for DIY salad. Anyone can easily make themselves a nice bowl of ceaser salad here.

The kebab bar... nothing special here...
(i recommend them to serve a few different types of meat instead of just one)

The Dessert bar...
(not really much choices, but some of the cakes are good, even thou we need to force ourselves to try it. haha)

So... where is the HIGHLIGHT?!?! Where's the main course of this restaurant?

Well.... the BOMB is isolated from the customers. In other words, you dont have to move your ass away from your seats to get these items. They'll come to you. Just remember to use the flags they provide.

Check out the "aquarium type" grilling bar that is located at one side of the restaurant.

Get near the glass and you'll feel the HEAT from the glass and also the FOOD.

As what we were told by the waitress, they serves more than 15 types of skewer / grilled meat everyday.

"Do you want some grilled prawns, sir?"

"How bout some Mexican Beef?"

"Sir, grilled lamb leg? (check out the size of that thing !!!)

Those grilled dishes are GREAT ! But for me, i prefer to have it with some additional sauce.
So, i asked for tomato ketchuo & tabasco sauce. Guess what they gave me...

Mixed salad... (the mint lamb salad is superb)

Now.... may i present to you, the MOST WANTED dish of the night...
All of us agreed that its damn good and will suit just anyone.
Can u tell what is it by the look?

Its the Grilled Red Snapper !!!
You can tell how good it is just by the aroma.
The light touches from the herbs and chilli goes well with the natural sweetness of the fish, without over-powering the aroma and texture of the fish. AWESOME Dish !! Bravo~ Bravo~~~

There is another type of seats they have.

They serves sparkling juices as their drinks, but sometimes, you'll need plain water right?
This is what they serves... Volvic... very normal huh?

Let me tell you something... This is what the royalty drinks in the PALACE !

Can you tell how full we are?

The nice buffet dinner comes with a price. $32.90 per pax.

But when we were paying our bill, we saw this board.

If you think $32.90 buffet is sort of expensive, think again...

Now, which one will you prefer?

15 types of skewers and eat all you can for $32.90

or

200g of WAGYU for $51.90?

Hahahahaha.

Conclusion : The grilled items are good. May be some home made sauce can be served to boost the flavours of the food. They need to add more variety of desserts. May be an ice cream machine will be nice.
